Last week, Embark Federation brought together its Headteachers and senior leaders for a Leadership Development Day focused on wellbeing, resilience, and positive leadership. The day created valuable space for reflection, connection, and shared learning, recognising that strong, supported leadership is central to thriving schools and positive experiences for young people.
The event was made possible through the generous support of Magma Maths, whose commitment to investing in people and professional development closely aligns with Embark’s values. Their support enabled us to step away from the day-to-day pressures of school life and focus on the wellbeing and sustainability of our leaders, something we believe is essential for long-term impact across our schools.
We were delighted to be joined by Andy Cope from The Art of Brilliance, who led an inspiring and thought-provoking session. Andy encouraged leaders to pause, reflect, and think differently about how positive cultures are built and sustained within schools. His engaging and practical approach created space for honest conversation, shared reflection, and renewed energy among our leadership teams.
Throughout the day, Headteachers and senior leaders shared experiences, reflected together, and reconnected with the purpose and values that underpin their work. There was a strong sense of collaboration and trust, highlighting the power of coming together as a federation to learn collectively and support one another.
We would like to thank Andy Cope for an uplifting and insightful session, Magma Maths for their continued support and belief in the importance of leadership development, and our Headteachers and senior leaders for the openness, thoughtfulness, and commitment they brought to the day. Opportunities like this remind us how powerful it is when organisations work together to strengthen leadership, wellbeing, and positive culture across schools, creating lasting benefits for staff and young people across Embark Federation.
