Exciting Estates Improvements Across Embark Schools This Summer!

Exciting Estates Improvements Across Embark Schools This Summer!

As part of our commitment to providing the very best learning environments for our young people, we have carried out a wide range of exciting estates projects across our schools during the summer break. These improvements mean that young people and staff are returning this September to safe, welcoming and inspiring spaces that help them thrive.

This is just a snapshot of some of the fantastic work completed this summer:

  • Richardson Endowed Primary School – a fully refurbished Year 6 classroom, providing a fresh, modern space for learning in the final year of primary school.

  • Aldercar High School – installation of automatic gates and brand-new astro turf, enhancing both security and outdoor facilities for young people.

  • St George’s Primary School – a new path created to improve access and safety on site.

  • William Rhodes Primary School – a new roof and skylights to bring in more natural light, plus a fully refurbished nursery to give our youngest learners the very best start.

  • Heath Primary School – refurbished toilets, providing modern, welcoming facilities for young people and staff.

  • Waingroves Primary School – refurbished toilets, ensuring improved spaces for young people throughout the school day.

  • Riddings Junior School – a full roofing replacement, improving the safety, warmth and energy efficiency of the building.

  • Longford C of E Primary School – essential roof works completed to protect and future-proof the school site.

  • Chaucer Infant School – exciting interior remodelling to create brighter, more flexible learning spaces for young people.

  • Horsley Woodhouse Primary School – a playground refurbishment, giving young people an engaging and safe space to play, socialise and stay active.

These projects represent significant investment in our schools and reflect our core value of Success — making sure every young person has access to high-quality spaces that support their wellbeing and learning. They also align with our vision of creating stand out schools at the heart of the community, where young people can flourish both academically and personally.

A huge thank you goes to our Embark Estates Lead, Richard Mansfield, and the entire workforce involved in making these amazing projects happen. We are also extremely grateful to all the contractors who have worked so hard on every project across the Trust. Their professionalism, commitment, and dedication over the summer have helped us bring these improvements to life and ensure our schools are ready for the new year ahead.

We are proud of the progress made and excited to see the positive difference these improvements will make in the year to come.
